Diamond Cross Ranch 101
Diamond Cross Ranch is one of the most popular wedding venues in Jackson Hole. It’s located in my neck of the woods, the northern portion of Grand Teton National Park, along the lovely Buffalo Fork River. Its particularly claim to fame is the horses release during the kiss, though it’s also known amongst locals as the place Kanye terrorized during one of his album parties.

Exclusive use of the property and facilities from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm

Full use of their Red Barn - a 12,000 square-foot indoor event space with large picture windows that let in the evening sun

If staying in Jackson Hole isn’t a priority for you, there are closer accommodations inside Grand Teton National Park like Jackson Lake Lodge, Signal Mountain Lodge, or Dornan’s cabins.

Cost
Diamond Cross Ranch is one of the premier wedding venues in Jackson Hole and the price reflects that. You can generally expect to pay $5,000-$16,000 for your wedding, though your quotes will vary per the size, day, and season of your wedding.
There is a required $1,000 damage deposit.
Transportation
Diamond Cross Ranch has a good amount of parking, but not unlimited. If you’re having a large wedding, you should consider hiring a shuttle bus to transport your guests. This is also a good idea given Diamond Cross’s distance from Jackson and the amount of wildlife on the road at night.
season
Summer through fall are the best times for ceremonies at Diamond Cross Ranch and other venues in the Tetons.
The Tetons and all of Wyoming can get hit hard by wildfire smoke, however, so it’s a bit of a toss up whether you want to gamble on rain, snow, or smoke. Diamond Cross Ranch is a little distant from the Tetons and I’ve worked weddings where the Tetons aren’t visible at all through the smoke. Not being able to see the mountains on your wedding day is tragic, so earlier summer sessions will reduce your chances of getting smoked out.
Average Weather at
Diamond Cross Ranch
-
68° / 36°
June is cooler than the rest of the summer months and there’s always an off chance it could rain or even snow. But overall June is full of wildflowers and beautiful weather, and wildfire season usually hasn’t started yet.
-
78° / 41°
July has been getting hotter in recent years, and can easily reach the 80s. July is a little less rainy than June, though, and you should still see plenty of wildflowers (unless it’s a very dry year).
Wildfire season usually stars in July, so your chance of smoke will be higher.
-
76° / 39°
Despite those lower numbers, August has been the hottest month in the Tetons in recent years, with sustained temps in the 80s. Rain is definitely always possible, but August is overall pretty dry.
Wildfire season will definitely be going off by August, so your chance of smoke will be higher.
-
67° / 32°
September is a beautiful time of year in the Tetons. It’s slightly cooler than the summer months and the aspens and cottonwoods will start to change at the end of the month.
Wildfire season didn’t used to go until September but in recent years we’ve had fires or gotten smoke from other states, so your chance of smoke will be higher.
-
52° / 24°
Early October usually has a last hurrah of warm weather before it gets truly cold in the Tetons. The cottonwoods and aspens should still be changing and it’s a much quieter time in the Tetons.
Wildfire season is usually over by October but it went until November in 2024, so who knows anymore.
Have a great wedding day
