Grand TetoN Elopements
Grand Teton National Park holds a particular magic. From ceremonies framed by jagged peaks to receptions where mountain breezes carry laughter across wildflower meadows, this landscape creates space for love to unfold authentically. This valley connects you to the wilderness, to each other, and to moments that transcend the ordinary.
Your Grand Teton Guide
I’m Danielle, a Grand Teton elopement photographer who lives at Colter Bay in Grand Teton National Park from May to October.
I’ve found myself drawn to this valley year after year. As a wedding photographer who thrives in untamed landscapes and seeks genuine emotion, I’ve discovered that Jackson Hole isn't just a backdrop. It’s a creative sanctuary, a place to witness love stories that are both deeply personal and beautifully honest.
Between work and life in Grand Teton, I’ve witnessed these mountains and valleys at every time of day. I know the way our weather builds and breaks and how to anticipate the unexpected. Whether your day involves a gathering of loved ones atop Rendezvous Peak or just the two of you beneath the rising sun, I’m here to guide you with the ease and skill that only a true local can.
If you’ve landed here, chances are you have a special connection to this incredible park in Wyoming and are looking for a photographer to shoot your elopement in Grand Teton National Park.
I am a photojournalistic wedding photographer who primarily shoots outdoors - this means that I aim to capture honest moments of unplanned connection.
This past summer, I found myself truly enjoying the more editorial and artistic side of shooting, so I now say that my work is a skilled blend of the two styles.
As a long time resident and Grand Teton elopement photographer, I’ve captured tons of love stories against the backdrop of these dramatic peaks. From mountain biking elopements on the back side of the Tetons to elopements so intimate we need to find another visitor to sign your witness papers, each style of wedding deserves thoughtful coverage that reflects your relationship and your day.
I love capturing “tiny people in big landscapes,” representing you two beautifully against the incredible view. But I also love, love, love the weird, funny, unplanned, candid moments that really give a feel for you two and your day and tell the complete story.
I’m here to document your day in a mostly un-staged way - this means making an itinerary with you but also going with the flow; letting you and have family have moments together and photographing from the outside; overall, just capturing you being you.
I do provide posing prompts occasionally to capture some dramatic and artistic shots but I never force a pose that doesn’t feel natural. I want you to look at these photos and recognize yourselves and the details that matter most to you.
Grand Teton Elopement Experience
Local Knowledge
Nothing compares to working with an elopement photographer who actually lives inside Grand Teton National Park. A lot of wedding photographers claim to be experts in this place but it’s impossible to truly know this place, its vendors, its light and its shadows, without living locally. I'm not pretending with styled shoots or claiming to have expert planning experience and relying on Facebook wedding photographer groups for info. These are real couples and real weddings that couples planned with the local resources I’ve put together.
Whether I'm on the water, exploring trails in the park, or looking for chanterelles, I'm constantly observing how the light transforms, tracking when tourist traffic peaks and subsides, and uncovering those tucked-away treasures that visiting photographers - or even Jackson-based photographers living in town - simply won't have discovered.
Every couple I photograph receives a comprehensive wedding and elopement planning resource, plus all the personalized guidance you need to bring your perfect day to life.
Natural, Documentary Style
My quiet documentary approach means I'm there to witness life as it unfolds, not orchestrate a performance. I focus on capturing the genuine exchanges that reveal your authentic bond, all while the Tetons provide their unique backdrop. Though I'm ready with gentle direction when it's useful, I believe your wedding day should be about fully inhabiting each moment, not worrying about striking poses.
My passion lies in preserving those raw emotions and unguarded instances that make your love story distinctly yours. Whether it's documenting that soft giggle shared during your private first look or the natural way you sway together beneath a canopy of stars, my quiet, attentive presence ensures those brief, precious moments become treasured memories you'll hold close for a lifetime.
Grand Teton Elopement Collections
Most Grand Teton elopements begin at $5,600 for five hours. Longer elopements can be split into sunrise and sunset sessions to maximize the most beautiful times of day in our little mountain valley.
