Jackson Hole Elopements
Jackson Hole holds a particular magic. From ceremonies framed by craggy peaks to receptions where mountain breezes carry laughter across sagebrush valleys, this landscape creates space for love to unfold authentically. This valley connects you to the wilderness, to each other, and to moments that transcend the ordinary.
Your JAckson Hole Elopement Photographer
I’m Danielle, a Jackson Hole elopement photographer who lives at Colter Bay in Grand Teton National Park from May to October.
I’ve found myself drawn to this valley year after year. As a wedding photographer who thrives in untamed landscapes and seeks genuine emotion, I’ve discovered that Jackson Hole isn't just a backdrop. It’s a creative sanctuary, a place to witness love stories that are both deeply personal and beautifully honest.
Between work and life in Jackson Hole, I’ve observed these mountains and valleys at every time of day. I know the way our weather builds and breaks and how to anticipate the unexpected. Whether your day involves a gathering of loved ones at The Wedding Tree or just the two of you beneath the rising sun, I’m here to guide you with the ease and skill that only a true local can.
Photojournalist for
laidback romantics
If you’ve landed here, chances are you have a special connection to this incredible park in Wyoming and are looking for a Jackson Hole elopement photographer.
I am a photojournalistic elopement photographer who primarily shoots outdoors - this means that I aim to capture honest moments of unplanned connection.
Some key words I use to describe my work:
Photojournalistic
Documentary-style
Tiny people, big views
Honest
Candid
As a long time resident and Jackson Hole elopement photographer, I’ve captured tons of love stories in front of these iconic peaks. From enormous weddings at Rendezvous Lodge to elopements so intimate we need to find another visitor to sign your witness papers, each style of wedding deserves thoughtful coverage that reflects your relationship and your day.
I love capturing “tiny people in big landscapes,” representing you two beautifully against the incredible view. But I also love, love, love the weird, funny, unplanned, candid moments that really give a feel for you two and your day and tell the complete story.
I’m here to document your day in a mostly un-staged way - this means making an itinerary with you but also going with the flow; letting you and have family have moments together and photographing from the outside; overall, just capturing you being you.
I do provide posing prompts occasionally to capture the more dramatic shots that most couples still want, but I will never force a pose that doesn’t feel natural. I want you to look at these photos and recognize yourselves and the details that matter most to you.
After our time together, my editing is film-inspired but mostly true-color tones. I generally avoid trends and want you to love your photos in ten years, long after trendy styles have come and gone.
Jackson Hole Elopement Experience
Genuine Local Knowledge
Nothing beats having an elopement photographer who's truly rooted in Jackson Hole - specifically someone who calls Grand Teton National Park home. A lot of wedding photographers claim to be experts in this place but it’s impossible to truly know these mountains and valley, its vendors, its light and its shadows, without living locally. I'm not pretending with styled shoots or claiming to have expert planning experience and relying on Facebook wedding photographer groups. These are real couples and real weddings that couples planned with the local resources I’ve put together.
Whether I'm on the river, hitting the trails, biking through the valley, or scaling peaks (which is basically my daily routine), I'm constantly cataloging how the light shifts, when the crowds thin, and discovering those hidden gems that visiting elopement photographers simply won't know.
Every couple I work with gets an in-depth wedding and elopement planning guide, plus all the hands-on support you need to make your vision a reality.
Natural, Photojournalistic Style
My unobtrusive documentary approach means I'm there to capture life as it happens, not direct a photoshoot. I focus on documenting the real interactions that reveal your genuine bond, all set against the stunning Teton landscape. While I'm happy to offer gentle guidance when it's helpful, I believe your wedding day should be about living each moment fully, not worrying about posing for photos.
What drives my work is preserving those authentic emotions and spontaneous moments that make your story uniquely yours. Whether it's catching that private smile during your ceremony or the way your partner tucks your hair, my quiet, watchful presence ensures those ephemeral moments become lasting memories you'll treasure for years to come.
