I met K at Cowboy Village, where she and her family and friends were getting ready. Her brother is a botanist from California and had picked her bouquet of wildflowers and a few local California flowers. It wasn’t quite ready yet though so I was able to source some of the surrounded fir, aspen, and blooming flowers for their detail photos.

After K was ready, we left for The Wedding Tree. There is limited parking at The Wedding Tree so K and their guests got into a shuttle they had hired for the day. Somehow the shuttle left without R, so he jumped in the car with me.

Their planner, Lacey, organized their guests beneath the Wedding Tree and K, R, and family stayed back in the trees. R’s kids walked down the trail (“aisle”) first, followed by R. Then, K’s dad escorted her down the trail for the ceremony beneath the trees.

A local musician played in the background of the ceremony as K and R said their vows beneath The Wedding Tree. After the ceremony, everyone walked to a table that Lacey had set up for champagne and toasts.

We took family photos with the Tetons in the distance, then K + R shared some private time at The Wedding Tree while their friends and family got back on the shuttle to head to Snow King.

K had wanted to take some photos with water, so we stopped by the Gros Ventre River jumping rock on the way back. It’s a huge jump so there was no swimming on this trip, but it does make for a unique photo spot in the Tetons.

Afterwards, we drove to Snow King, where we took the gondola up to the Panorama House. R played the ukelele on the way up. When we arrived at Panorama House, all of their friends and family were waiting. The setting sun filtered in through the panoramic windows as everyone mingled for dinner and danced.

We snuck out briefly for golden hour portraits atop Snow King. Snow King was under construction at that time so we were a little limited with locations but found a nice view of the Tetons framed by the setting sun and a field full of flowers.
