This engagement shoot was such a long time coming - Chris emailed me in November about a surprise proposal, and it was a nice change to have time to help with the planning and answering all of Chris’s questions.

Melissa had always dreamed of visiting Arches National Park, so Chris knew that was where he wanted to propose to her. As my luck goes, we had absolutely awful weather, with heavy winds, cold temps, and even rain, but they were so easygoing and so much fun to talk to that the weather never felt like a big deal.

Best of all, they picked the funny photo for the final gallery, which solidifies them in my book as A+ people.

I know, I know, I tell clients to remove their Apple watches all the time but Melissa didn’t want to take hers off because of her tan line. It’s fine!
